Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has dismissed the state’s Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, with immediate effect, as part of a broader initiative to improve the efficiency and performance of the civil service.
The announcement was made in a statement released on Wednesday, March 11, by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa. According to Dawakin-Tofa, the decision reflects the administration’s commitment to repositioning the civil service for greater discipline, accountability, and improved service delivery across all government institutions.
The spokesperson emphasized that the governor’s action is part of ongoing reforms aimed at ensuring that the state’s civil service operates more effectively to meet the needs of Kano residents. No immediate replacement for Abdullahi Musa has been announced.
