ONDO — Kidnappers holding Joseph Aladesuyi, secretary of Okeluju Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Akoko North West Local Government Area, Ondo State, have contacted his family demanding ₦100 million for his release.

The family source said the abductors reached out via telephone around 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, leaving no room for negotiation.

Aladesuyi, who is also the Managing Director of Jotina Farms, was abducted on Monday morning at his poultry farm in the Kajola axis of Ilu-Abo community, Akure North Local Government Area, near Akure Airport. Two others were reportedly taken alongside him.

A family member, speaking anonymously due to the sensitivity of the case, revealed that Aladesuyi was shot in one hand during the invasion of the farm.

“They called this morning. They asked us to bring ₦100 million before they would release him. They spoke very shortly and hastily during the call and did not allow us to say much,” the source said.
“Our concern is more about his health at the moment because we were made to understand that he was shot in one of his hands while they were dragging him.”
