Kampala police have launched an investigation into the death of Diana Namulinde, a 24-year-old social media content creator and entrepreneur, whose body was discovered in her apartment in Kyanja, Kawempe Division.
Namulinde, popularly known online as Diana Skys, was found dead on February 4, 2026, after friends discovered her apartment door open. Police say the incident occurred the previous night in Kwaata Zone, and early findings suggest she was strangled in what may have been an aggravated robbery.
Deputy Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed that homicide detectives and crime scene officers recovered evidence and recorded witness statements. A security guard employed at the residence was initially taken into custody after being found with items suspected to have been stolen from Namulinde. Police later identified three suspects, two of whom remain under arrest as investigations continue.
“The body of the deceased was conveyed to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examination, and investigations are ongoing,” Owoyesigyire said on Thursday.
Namulinde’s death has sent shockwaves through her online following, where she had built a reputation as a rising influencer and entrepreneur. Authorities have pledged to pursue all leads to ensure justice is served.
