KANO, Nigeria — The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano Strategic Command, has arrested 19 suspects and shut down multiple drug joints in Gezawa as part of ongoing efforts to curb illicit drug activities during and after Ramadan.

The operation, part of “Operation Ramadan Mubarak”, was confirmed by NDLEA State Commander, Dahiru Yahaya-Lawal, who explained that actionable intelligence from a community member led to the successful raids.

Items seized include cannabis sativa, diazepam, Exol-5 (“Suck and Die”), pregabalin tablets, and other controlled substances. The suspects are now in NDLEA custody as investigations continue.
