Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has urged political actors and stakeholders in the state to align with the central Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing it as crucial for the welfare of Kano residents.
Speaking on Monday during a courtesy visit from the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee, Yusuf emphasized that cooperation with the Federal Government is necessary to make up for developmental gaps the state has experienced.
“Anyone who means well for the people of Kano should align with the Federal Government, because we have missed a lot,” the Governor said, highlighting the importance of unity in advancing the state’s interests.
He noted that Kano’s political landscape is now more united than ever, crediting the recent wave of defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for fostering reconciliation among previously divided factions.
Governor Yusuf commended the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee for their management of congresses across the state and praised the increasing cooperation and harmony among political families.
The Committee Chairman, Lantep Dabang, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his fairness and leadership, describing him as a “man of integrity and justice” during the allocation of political positions.
