Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi has agreed to join Portuguese giants FC Porto on a loan deal for the remainder of the season, marking a fresh chapter in his European career.

DAILY POST reports that the agreement includes an option for Porto to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign for a fee of €8 million. The 26-year-old Nigerian international is already in Portugal, where he is expected to undergo medical tests ahead of the official announcement.

Moffi’s move comes after a difficult spell at OGC Nice, where his time at the French club was disrupted following an attack by supporters. The striker was reportedly physically assaulted by some Nice fans after the club’s defeat to Lorient, an incident that effectively stalled his involvement with the team.

Following the attack, Moffi did not make another appearance for Nice, fuelling speculation about his immediate future and opening the door for interested clubs across Europe.

Turkish Super Lig heavyweights Besiktas were also keen on signing the Nigerian striker but failed to act quickly enough, allowing Porto to move decisively and secure the deal.

If completed, the switch to Porto could offer Moffi a chance to revive his form in a competitive league and regain momentum ahead of future Super Eagles engagements.
