Nigerian actress Regina Daniels has vowed to take legal action against her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and others over allegations that she used hard drugs. The actress made the announcement in a video shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
In the video, Daniels presented laboratory test results from a California hospital, confirming she tested negative for all hard drugs. She clarified that the only substance detected was ecstasy (commonly known as molly), which she acknowledged but emphasized does not define her character or lifestyle.
Addressing her followers, Daniels said:
“Hi everyone, it’s Regina Daniels. I don’t believe I will sit in front of this camera again trying to clear up an accusation that was sent to destroy me. I realized there are certain narratives I can no longer allow linger over my name as a public figure. I also realized how many people love me, support and believe in me. And I will never let that love or loyalty be met with shame or doubt.”
She added that her decision to publicly share the test results was not solely to clear her name, but to provide her children with reassurance about her integrity:
“Above all, I want to give my children something priceless—the pride that when they grow up to the proper age of understanding, they will know that their mother was never a drug addict.”
Daniels stressed that she had never used hard drugs, attributing online claims to fabrication. She further confirmed her intent to pursue legal action at the appropriate time:
“I will sue, I will definitely sue at the appropriate time. Honestly speaking, the only drug I was associated with was ecstasy. Believe it or not, there’s a reason for that.”
The clarification comes nearly three months after Ned Nwoko publicly accused her of drug use. Daniels had previously documented her visit to a California hospital for testing in a video she shared online, signaling her intent to address the allegations head-on.
