Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has undergone a drug test, a move that comes months after public allegations of substance abuse surfaced during her highly publicised marital crisis.
The actress disclosed the development on Wednesday via Instagram, posting a video from a hospital where she confirmed she was about to undergo the medical screening. “Hi guys, so I’m here at the hospital, I’m about to run my drug test,” she said in the clip.
The decision follows accusations made nearly three months ago by her husband, billionaire businessman and senator, Ned Nwoko, who alleged that the actress struggled with substance abuse while strongly denying her claims of domestic violence.
The controversy first erupted in October 2025 when Regina accused Nwoko of domestic abuse, allegations the lawmaker rejected. In response, he claimed to possess medical records backing his assertions of drug use, a claim that intensified public scrutiny.
Adding to the controversy, Regina’s co-wife, Laila Charani, alleged during the fallout that the actress had introduced her to drugs, further fuelling speculation and debate across social media platforms.
The situation escalated after an alleged medical report, purportedly from Serenity Royale Hospital, circulated online, claiming toxic levels of marijuana, morphine, opiates, cocaine, and alcohol in Regina’s system.
Serenity Royale Hospital later distanced itself from the report, stating that the leaked document did not originate from the facility and urging the public to disregard the claims, as Regina’s decision to undergo a fresh drug test renews attention on one of Nollywood’s most controversial celebrity disputes.
