Popular Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has accused United Nigeria Airlines of severe operational lapses after her flight was delayed and eventually cancelled twice within 48 hours, leaving her stranded in Ekiti State and unable to honour a filming commitment in Lagos.

The actress said she travelled to Ekiti for a work assignment and was scheduled to return to Lagos on Wednesday for another production. However, she claimed the airline repeatedly postponed her flight without prior notice, forcing her to spend additional money on accommodation and logistics.

Ogunmola shared her ordeal in an emotional video posted on her Instagram page on Thursday morning, where she threatened legal action against the airline, accusing it of mishandling the situation and disregarding the impact on her livelihood.

“I was supposed to fly yesterday. I got to the airport and they said the flight was delayed, and after waiting for hours, they cancelled it,” she said. “When I asked what the plan was, there was nothing they could do.”

According to her account, the rescheduled flight for Thursday morning was repeatedly shifted—from 8am to 9:30am, then to noon, and later to 5:30pm—without any formal communication to passengers.

“This is very painful. They could have simply sent a message,” Ogunmola said, explaining that her film crew was already on set in Lagos while she remained stuck in Ekiti.

Fighting back tears, the actress said she was left with no option but to travel by road, describing the journey as unsafe. She added that her legal team would take up the matter.

“It’s not just my time they are playing with, it’s my livelihood,” she said. “They are not remorseful, and there’s no decency in how this was handled.”

The incident comes barely a month after the commencement of commercial flight operations at the Ekiti airport, raising fresh concerns over service reliability and passenger welfare.

As of the time of filing this report, United Nigeria Airlines had not publicly responded to the allegations.
