A fresh bandit attack has left at least two people dead after gunmen stormed Kwatangiri community in Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State late on Thursday night.

Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the incident in a post shared on X on Friday, saying the attackers invaded the rural settlement under the cover of darkness.

Residents said the assailants shot dead two locals during the raid before ransacking several homes. Food supplies and other household items were reportedly taken, compounding the losses suffered by already vulnerable families.
