Celebrated Nigerian musicians Adekunle Gold and Simi have welcomed twin babies, expanding their family and sending waves of excitement across the entertainment industry and social media.
The joyful news was confirmed on Wednesday after Adekunle Gold, whose real name is Adekunle Kosoko, shared the update via his Snapchat story, announcing that the couple had become parents again.
Sharing his gratitude, the award-winning singer wrote, “Asked God for another child and he blessed me double,” a message that quickly resonated with fans and fellow artistes alike.
Although the couple has yet to reveal the gender of the twins, congratulatory messages have poured in from admirers, celebrities and industry colleagues, celebrating the latest milestone in their lives.
Speculation about the pregnancy had been building since December, when Simi posted an Instagram video featuring a visible baby bump, captioned, “From my baby, for my babies,” a post that sparked widespread excitement among fans.
The twins’ arrival comes shortly after Simi highlighted a scene from Adekunle Gold’s recently released music video, “My Love Is the Same,” further fueling public interest around the couple’s growing family.
Adekunle Gold and Simi, who married in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration, remain one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples. They welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, popularly known as Deja, in May 2020.
