Nigerian comedian Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, widely known as Sabinus, has confirmed that his marriage to Ciana Chapman has come to an amicable end. The entertainer addressed the matter during a TikTok live session, putting months of speculation to rest.
The couple, who formalised their union in 2023, had faced recurring social media rumours concerning the state of their marriage. Sabinus clarified that the separation was mutual and handled without conflict.
He emphasised that despite the split, he and his former wife remain committed to maintaining a healthy relationship for the sake of their daughter. Their focus, he said, is ensuring stability and emotional well-being for the child they share.
Responding to circulating allegations of infidelity and domestic violence, the comedian dismissed the claims, stating firmly: “I’m not married. My marriage ended peacefully. The mum and I are good. My daughter is okay, and she is doing fine.”
His remarks mark the first time he has publicly acknowledged the end of the marriage, following months of silence and denials that had fuelled further public curiosity.
The announcement has prompted renewed discussion online about celebrity marriages and the pressures public figures face as personal issues become topics of widespread debate.
Sabinus, one of Nigeria’s most recognisable comic figures, urged fans to respect the privacy of all involved while he continues to navigate co-parenting and professional commitments.
