Popular Nigerian TikTok personality Peller has been hospitalised after being involved in a car crash in Lagos State, hours after news of his break-up with his girlfriend, Jarvis, became public.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday afternoon, reportedly left his newly acquired Mercedes-Benz badly damaged, sparking widespread concern among fans and fellow content creators across social media platforms.
Shortly before the crash, a troubling video surfaced online showing the influencer in a visibly distressed state, speaking directly to his followers and expressing fears that alarmed viewers.
“Thank you, everybody. I love you guys. I’m scared, I don’t want to harm anybody. I will do this by myself, I will kill myself, my body is shaking,” Peller said in the clip, which has since circulated widely.
As of the time of reporting, the exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, with no official statement from the Lagos State authorities or Peller’s management on his medical condition or how the accident occurred.
The incident has triggered strong reactions online, including from popular Nigerian influencer Tunde Ednut, who criticised Peller’s actions and called on authorities to take firm measures.
“So wait, so na because of Jarvis him been wan kpai himself? Wow. I don’t like this kind of behaviour… Peller needs to be stopped from driving because of this incident before him go harm other people on the road,” Ednut wrote on Instagram, urging that the TikToker’s driving licence be revoked.
