The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a man identified as David Effiong for parading in full masquerade regalia and causing public disturbance. The arrest was confirmed by the state Commissioner of Police, Baba Azare, on Tuesday.

Effiong was apprehended after allegedly disrupting public peace while wearing traditional masquerade attire, a practice that drew attention and concern from local residents. Authorities stated that such acts can lead to panic and disorder in public spaces.
