Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has urged citizens to stop fixating on his personal life and concentrate on pressing national challenges instead.
The singer made the statement while performing at a live concert on December 12, 2025, entertaining fans with a string of his hit songs. During the event, 2Baba addressed ongoing public discussions about his marriage to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
He expressed frustration over the persistent media and public attention on his marital affairs, describing it as a distraction from more urgent issues affecting the country.
“Make una ignore all that nonsense. Some serious things are happening in Nigeria. I’ve entertained you all enough. Let’s focus on more important things,” he told the audience, emphasizing that national concerns demand collective attention.
2Baba highlighted that after decades of providing entertainment and joy through his music, the public should now channel energy toward matters that genuinely impact Nigerian society, including social, economic, and political issues.
The musician’s call comes amid ongoing national debates on governance, security, and development, as he encourages citizens to engage with conversations that could shape the country’s future.
By redirecting attention from his personal life, 2Baba hopes to inspire Nigerians to focus on meaningful discourse, rather than gossip surrounding celebrities, which he described as “nonsense” compared to the country’s real challenges.
