Tension has gripped residents of Owerri following the tragic death of two individuals allegedly struck by Imo Entraco personnel during an operation to seize a vehicle on Mulumba Akachi Road, near First Bank, on Monday afternoon, November 10, 2025.

Eyewitnesses told reporters that the agency’s officials were pursuing a vehicle when they lost control, ramming into bystanders and killing two people on the spot. The incident immediately sparked outrage, with angry residents decrying what they described as a pattern of recklessness and abuse of power by Entraco officers.

“This is not the first time these people have acted with such impunity,” one resident said. “They behave like they are above the law. Now, two innocent lives are gone because of their carelessness.”
