The family feud between actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has escalated after Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, accused the lawmaker of ingratitude and tarnishing their family’s image.
In a video widely circulated on social media, Rita Daniels alleged that her daughter financially supported Nwoko’s senatorial bid with $50,000, adding that she also made personal sacrifices to help his political rise. She accused the senator of turning against the very people who once stood by him.
“You wanted someone with a high star to boost your fallen star,” Rita said in the video. “Regina gave you $50,000 to support your election. We covered up your shame and made you look like an Odogwu.”
Her outburst comes amid growing tension between the actress and the Delta North senator, who reportedly ordered the arrest of Regina’s siblings. Regina alleged that the move was an attempt to force her return to the marriage and undergo rehabilitation.
The 24-year-old actress took to social media to share her frustrations, saying she had endured months of silence while being publicly labelled a drug addict. She said she now felt compelled to speak out, declaring that she could no longer bear the pain privately.
“Why must things get this ugly when two people decide to go their separate ways?” Regina wrote, expressing dismay over how what began as a glamorous union has turned bitterly public.
Neither Senator Nwoko nor his media aides have publicly responded to the latest allegations, though the controversy continues to dominate conversations across Nigerian entertainment and political circles.
