Regina Daniels has issued a sharp response to Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), after he publicly claimed the actress “needs help” amid her ongoing marital crisis with Senator Ned Nwoko. Rollas made the remark in a lengthy Instagram post urging Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, to abandon her AGN presidential ambition and focus on her daughter’s wellbeing.
The AGN president also criticised senior figures in Nollywood for staying silent over the “messy breakup” between Regina and her husband, arguing that the actress’ situation required urgent intervention. “Regarding Regina, we all know she needs help. Your silence is unfair,” he wrote.
Regina Daniels, however, pushed back forcefully. Responding via Instagram, she questioned Rollas’ motives and judgement. “Respectfully, there must be something wrong with you, sir, to say I need help?” she said, rejecting his comments as both insulting and baseless.
She went further to accuse the AGN president of misconduct and exploiting his office for personal gain. According to her, Rollas routinely moves “from office to office” enriching himself under the pretext of supporting actors, a pattern she described as disgraceful for someone in his position.
The actress also alleged that Rollas repeatedly brought women to her family home “to take swimming lessons,” despite her warnings—a claim she suggested explained his hostility towards her. “Well, I’m not shocked because that is how you get paid,” she added.
Her response comes as a viral video circulates online in which Regina accuses her husband of domestic violence. Senator Nwoko has since denied the allegations, countering with claims that the actress is struggling with drug abuse—an allegation she has not addressed publicly.
The unfolding dispute has stirred intense reactions within Nollywood, exposing internal tensions and raising questions about the AGN leadership’s role in safeguarding actors’ welfare. Neither Rollas nor Rita Daniels has issued further comment following the latest exchange.
