Nollywood star Regina Daniels has publicly confirmed the crisis rocking her marriage with Senator Ned Nwoko, declaring that she is ready to fight for the custody and upbringing of her children.
In a video posted on her verified Instagram page, the actress described her family’s situation as “a turmoil,” while referring to Ned Nwoko as her “ex-husband” for the first time. The revelation marks a new twist in what has become one of the most talked-about celebrity controversies in Nigeria.
Daniels expressed gratitude to her family members for standing by her during the ordeal, saying their unwavering support gave her the courage to speak out. “My family is actually in turmoil. It’s crazy, but we will definitely come out of it,” she said in the emotional clip.
She added that her brother’s decision to start an online petition in her defence drew massive public backing within hours, a sign that many Nigerians were rallying behind her. “My brother started a petition, and in hours, a lot of people were signing it,” she revealed.
The 24-year-old actress vowed not to remain silent any longer, insisting that she would fight to protect her children’s future. “I’m going to fight for my children, Ned. I tried to be calm; I tried to let go, but I will fight and take them. I will train them with or without your support,” Daniels said.
The video, which has gone viral on social media, has sparked widespread debate and sympathy from fans and fellow entertainers, many of whom have called for respect and fairness in handling the couple’s fallout.
Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, has yet to issue a formal response to his estranged wife’s latest claims, though reports suggest tensions within the family have intensified in recent weeks.
