Delta North Senator, Ned Nwoko, has called on his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, to enter a rehabilitation programme to address drug abuse, stressing the importance of her health for the sake of their children.

Speaking with journalists on Sunday, Nwoko said the 25-year-old actress’ well-being had become a priority following “alarming” toxicology reports showing high levels of harmful substances in her system. He expressed concern over changes in Daniels’ behaviour, citing increasing volatility, destructive tendencies, and recurring health issues.

“I want her alive and healthy, not just for me, but for our children. We have two young kids together, and they cannot fight for themselves, so I’m going to fight for them by safeguarding their mother,” the senator said.

Nwoko added that the rehabilitation decision was essential to ensure Daniels is in the right state of mind to care for their family. “Many people have died of drug overdose, and if anything happens to her now, what will I tell her children tomorrow?” he asked.

The senator’s statement underscores ongoing concerns over the actress’ health and the couple’s highly publicised marital challenges.
