Popular Nollywood comic actor Olatayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu, has called on Big Brother Naija season 10 winner, Imisi, to end her ongoing social media dispute with her mother. The plea was made in a video shared on Ijebu’s Instagram page on Sunday evening.

The public spat erupted shortly after Imisi claimed her N150 million prize money, with her mother releasing a viral video alleging she had been abandoned. The feud has since dominated social media conversations, drawing mixed reactions from fans and followers.

Imisi, who revealed traumatic experiences from her childhood during the reality show, recounted being raped twice at age 12 and undergoing an abortion at 13. She also said her father sent her out of the house at 11, forcing her to sell fufu with her grandmother before her grandmother’s house was burned down.

Addressing her mother’s recent claims, Imisi highlighted their strained relationship prior to her fame. She questioned why the issues had surfaced only after her Big Brother win, pointing out that she had been sending financial support to her mother even after her success. “God knows I tried. I still sent money to you last week and four days ago. Will I kill myself? You cannot remove N1 out of the money I won for anybody’s comfort,” she stated on Instagram.

Ijebu, acknowledging the tension, urged Imisi to seek reconciliation. He emphasized the importance of honouring parents, advising her to apologise in person and seek her mother’s blessing. “No matter what she might have done to you, she is still your mini god on earth. After this, I don’t want to hear any dragging again online,” he warned.

The actor stressed that reconciliation would not only end the public feud but also help restore familial respect. His intervention has sparked discussion among fans, with many agreeing that resolving personal disputes offline is preferable to prolonged online arguments.

The situation underscores the challenges that young celebrities face in balancing personal relationships with public attention. Imisi’s case has reignited conversations about parental expectations, social media scrutiny, and the pressures of newfound fame.
