Paris Saint-Germain players have dismissed pre-match comments from Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Pedri after snatching a dramatic 90th-minute Champions League victory in Catalonia.

Luis Enrique’s side, the reigning European champions, came from behind to seal a 2-1 win at the Olympic Stadium, with Gonçalo Ramos striking the decisive goal at the death.

Ferran Torres had put Barcelona ahead early, assisted by Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford. Teenage forward Senny Mayulu levelled for PSG before half-time, but it was Ramos who settled the contest, capping a swift counter-attack in the closing stages.

The victory extended PSG’s dominance over Barça, following last season’s emphatic 4-1 quarter-final triumph. Post-match, Ramos fired back at the Spanish duo’s confidence. “We’re the European champions. If you’re the best, you show it on the pitch, not by talking,” he told reporters.

Midfielder Vitinha went further, brushing aside the war of words. “There are always statements before games, but we don’t give a damn. We don’t care — we just wanted to play, we won, and we’re happy,” he told RMC Sport.

The Portuguese international hailed PSG’s resilience, with several first-team regulars absent. “We were behind against one of Europe’s best sides, away from home, and still turned it around. Players who usually don’t start came on and delivered. It’s a great statement from our team,” he said.

Barcelona, who remain unbeaten in La Liga and top of the table, now travel to Sevilla on Sunday. PSG, with one Ligue 1 defeat this term, face Lille before the international break.
