The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has published the names of candidates shortlisted for the upcoming Computer-Based Test (CBT) in its ongoing recruitment exercise across four major paramilitary agencies.
Board Secretary, Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril (rtd), confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday, announcing that applicants can now verify their status via the official CDCFIB recruitment portal.
The agencies involved are the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
According to the notice, candidates who applied are expected to check their names from Thursday, October 30, 2025, to confirm their shortlisting and obtain details about their respective CBT centres.
Maj.-Gen. Jubril advised applicants to pay close attention to their examination venue, date, and time as listed on the portal to avoid disqualification. He noted that the test is a critical stage of the recruitment process that will determine the final selection of successful candidates.
The Board’s latest update comes amid the graduation of 714 cadets from the Nigeria Immigration Training School, a development Jubril described as part of ongoing reforms to strengthen professionalism within the nation’s paramilitary institutions.
The CDCFIB reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and merit-based selection, assuring Nigerians that the recruitment process remains free and fair, with no room for favoritism or irregularities.
