Nigeria’s global industrialisation drive will extend to South America this November as the Made in Nigeria Project Office, Abuja hosts the Nigeria–Brazil Economic Forum and Made in Nigeria Exhibition Week & Expo in Belem, Brazil.
The four-day event, scheduled for 19th–22nd November 2025 at the International Conference Centre, The Green Zone, Belem, is designed to deepen economic diplomacy, trade relations, and cultural exchange between Africa’s largest economy and Latin America’s biggest market.
The forum, themed “Tapping Nigeria’s Potential and Strategies to Becoming a Leading Manufacturing and Production Hub of Africa, the Natural Resources Supply Chain,” will showcase Nigerian brands, products, and services to Brazilian investors and the diaspora. It will also feature Made in Nigeria Awards, trade exhibitions, investment sessions, and entertainment showcasing Nigeria’s cultural diversity.
Organisers say the Brazil edition will highlight opportunities in agriculture, energy, mining, technology, and manufacturing, with a strong focus on building new bilateral partnerships. Nigeria aims to attract investors to its grassroots industrialisation agenda while opening South American markets to Nigerian exports.
Hon. Nwabueze George, Executive Director and National Coordinator of the Made in Nigeria Project Office, described the Brazil summit as a strategic step in expanding Nigeria’s global influence. “Brazil and Nigeria share common strengths in agriculture, natural resources, and culture. This forum will allow us to forge stronger partnerships, showcase our industries, and connect with the Brazilian market and the wider Latin American economy,” he said.
The forum is also expected to foster collaborations between Nigerian and Brazilian small and medium enterprises (SMEs), promote knowledge exchange, and strengthen cultural diplomacy. Organisers say the event aligns with Nigeria’s 2025–2030 strategy to boost local production and exports while reducing reliance on imports.
With the Houston Expo in October, the Hong Kong Summit in mid-November, and the Brazil Forum at the end of the month, Nigeria is set to make 2025 a landmark year in its campaign to industrialise, attract foreign investment, and position itself as Africa’s leading production hub.
