The Imo State House of Assembly has approved a motion to rename the historic Douglas Road in Owerri after the state governor, Hope Uzodimma.
The decision, reached during plenary on Tuesday, immediately sparked reactions across the state capital, where Douglas Road has long been regarded as one of the most iconic and busiest streets.
