Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has reaffirmed her loyalty to Davido despite their widely publicised fallout early last year.
The rift began in January 2024 when Savage posted a photo with Sophia Momodu, the singer’s first baby mama, amid Davido’s ongoing custody battle with her. The post sparked tensions, leading Tiwa to file a police petition claiming Davido had allegedly threatened her.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Savage admitted the incident strained their friendship but insisted she still holds admiration for the DMW boss.
“I haven’t spoken to Davido, but I do want you to know that I love you and I would never betray you or take sides,” she said.
Her comments have reignited conversations about loyalty, friendship, and the pressures of public scrutiny within the Afrobeats industry. Fans continue to speculate on whether the two global stars will eventually reconcile.
