Controversial relationship coach and social media influencer Blessing CEO has arrived in Asaba, Delta State, as preparations intensify for her wedding to celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD. The event is already generating heated reactions across social media, reigniting debates around their scandal-laden romance.

Blessing CEO, known for her bold social media presence and controversial takes on relationships, posted a video on Instagram showing her arrival in Asaba alongside her wedding planner. “Asaba we are here. Let the planning begin,” she captioned the clip, confirming that her marriage to IVD is imminent.

The relationship has been marred by controversy since its public reveal. IVD is still facing public scrutiny over the tragic death of his wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, who sustained fatal fire injuries during a domestic altercation at their Lagos home in October 2022. In March 2023, IVD was arraigned before the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja on a charge of manslaughter in connection with her death.

Blessing CEO herself was not spared legal battles. On March 31, 2023, she was remanded in prison by a Federal High Court for alleged cyberbullying, defamation, and interference in the ongoing investigation concerning Bimbo’s death. Her vocal defense of IVD during that period was widely criticized and played a major role in her arrest and brief incarceration.

Despite the backlash, Blessing and IVD have not shied away from the spotlight. In April 2025, IVD proposed to Blessing in a surprise engagement that instantly went viral, attracting both congratulations and condemnation from the public. Many view the union as a public relations stunt, while others argue it symbolizes a disturbing trend of glamorizing trauma-laced relationships.

The timing of their wedding has sparked renewed outrage, especially among supporters of the late Bimbo Ogbonna. Advocacy groups and online users are questioning the moral optics of the union, calling it a slap in the face to justice and victims of domestic violence.

As the couple prepares to walk down the aisle in Asaba, the noise surrounding their union shows no sign of dying down. With the spotlight glaring on them, the ceremony may turn out to be less of a celebration and more of a media spectacle, as Nigerians remain sharply divided over whether love or controversy is truly driving this wedding.
