Dr. Santosh Shetty, a senior doctor at the hospital, confirmed the news of Kumar’s demise, stating that the actor had been battling declining health for some time. His son, Kunal Goswami, also verified the sad development, marking the end of an era in Indian cinema.
Manoj Kumar, whose real name was Harikrishan Goswami, rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s with films that struck a chord with nationalistic sentiments. His memorable performances in classics like Shaheed, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan, and Kranti earned him widespread acclaim, cementing his place as a Bollywood legend.
