Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has strongly criticized socialite Sophia Egbueje for publicly celebrating her new Lamborghini, despite the controversy surrounding her alleged “sex-for-Lambo” saga with music star Burna Boy.
The drama began when leaked audio surfaced, revealing Sophia accusing Burna Boy of reneging on a promise to buy her a Lamborghini after an alleged one-night stand. Rather than back down, she went on to purchase the luxury car herself and proudly showcased it on social media.
Her display of wealth, including a wristwatch and the Lamborghini valued at over ₦650 million, did not sit well with Patrick Doyle, who berated her for what he called her “shameful means of livelihood.”
“Some half-wits were impressed and effusively congratulated her as she smiled and flaunted both items, as if we hadn’t heard about her shameful means of livelihood. Meanwhile, I can bet that there are members of her extended family going through tough times.”
He further slammed those celebrating her, arguing that “romanticizing iniquity” has become the norm in today’s society.
Sophia’s controversial Lamborghini purchase has divided public opinion, with some praising her for taking control of the narrative, while others, like Doyle, criticize her for setting a dangerous precedent for young women.
