Gunmen on Friday shot a women identified as Mrs Stainless dead in Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
She was killed during an attack in the community.
While the motive behind the killing remains unclear, a community source suggested that the woman may have been targeted by assassins.
According to the source: “The woman met her untimely demise on Friday, March 29, 2024, in Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom, Oguta LGA, Imo State, at the hands of unidentified gunmen suspected to be hired killers.”
Another village source attributed the killing to a dispute over a parcel of farmland bequeathed by their late grandfather in Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom.
Imo police spokesman Henry Okoye was yet to issue a statement on the incident as of the time of filing this reporting.
