West Ham’s first real attempt came from Mohammed Kudus after the break, when he directed his shot above the crossbar with Jarrod Bowen giving the visitors a consolation goal after beating young defender Jarell Quansah for a fine finish.
Liverpool responded with two more goals from Mohammed Salah and Curtis Jones to ensure their semi final spot is indisputable. it ended 5:1 in favour of the hosts.
Liverpool will then join Chelsea, Middlesborough and Fulham who will be in the semi final of the competition for the first time.
