Ahead of the 2023 general election in Nigeria, the Deputy Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Ifeanyi Uchendu has announced his intention to contest the seat of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of the federal House of Representatives.

The Deputy Speaker who represents Ohafia North State Constituency, disclosed this at an enlarged meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held at Ohafia local government headquarters during the weekend.

Uchendu also disclosed that his love for the development and welfare of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, and the call by the people informed his decision of presenting himself to represent the constituency at the House of Representatives.

He noted that the wealth of experience he garnered as a two-term lawmaker, coupled with his numerous people-oriented projects, will come to bear, promising the people of Ohafia and Arochukwu to expect a bountiful harvest if given the mandate in 2023.

The Abia Deputy Speaker also promised to deliver more projects in his remaining period at the State House of Assembly called on the members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ohafia, Abia State and Nigeria at large to brace up for the challenge ahead to ensure a landslide victory for the party in 2023.

PDP Stakeholders and supporters present at the event expressed high hopes in the ability of the Deputy Speaker in giving the people of Ohafia and Arochukwu an efficient and effective representation at the federal house of representatives.
