Prince Ikechukwu Harps On Skill Acquisition For Children

Prince Emmanuel Ugochukwu Ikechukwu has said that skill acquisition programmes will enhance knowledge in children when they engage in it.

Businessman Prince Ikechukwu who is the CEO of Prince Ike-God Humanitarian Foundation, urged parents to take skill acquisition programmes for their children seriously, adding that there are great benefits in them.

Speaking during his opening remarks at the Skill Amaka programme organized by African Childhood Hub on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in Obinze, Owerri Imo State, Prince Emmanuel Ugochukwu Ikechukwu said learning skills at an early stage is the best and is one way to curb unemployment in the country.

“Enhancing the talents of young people especially children will help curb unemployment and reduce social vices in the society,” he said.

Speaking further, he said that such programmes will provide more opportunities for children from less privileged homes, revealing that in a space of one month, participants in the programme have mastered crafts like bead making, baking, among others.

“I am happy the pupil enjoyed their holiday and have what to show for when they get back to school. Humanitarianism is my calling I will not stop doing good for the people”, he said.

Also speaking the co-founder of the project, Mrs. Chisom Ekwenwa expressed gratitude to the Obitti Ohaji /Egbema born businessman and philanthropist for supporting and partnering with African Childhood Hub in the project.

She hailed him for his numerous humanitarian activities in the area, singling out the scholarship awarded to a boy who was abused by his mother a year ago because of ‘Akara’.

She extolled him for all his good works on humanity and urged keep up to it.
