Some aggrieved members held parallel elections during Saturday’s local government congresses.

Parallel congresses were held in Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Kwara, Ogun and Enugu states.

A member of the National Caretaker Committee, former Senate President, Ken Nnamani said the party would ignore any parallel congress.

Speaking with reporters in Amechi Awkunanaw, in Enugu South Local Government Area at the weekend, where he participated the congress, Nnamani said APC would not accord recognition to any parallel congress organised by faction in the party except the ones supervised by those sent on the assignment of conducting congresses.

He, however, assured that both divides of the party would unite at the appropriate time because, “there’s no family that is devoid of conflicts”.
