“I am not disturbed by their absence but you don’t know the process for now, but we are satisfied with what has been going on,” he said.

Archbishop Obinna, who is the chairman of the peace committee explained however that the process is ongoing and noted that there is still a chance for those who have not attended to attend.

He calls for prayers to be able to come up with a positive input that will help Imo to return as the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

“We have noticed that some quiet is returning in the state, we are not taking seeming apparent quiet as a final position that is why all hands have to be on deck to contribute in bringing peace back to Imo State.”

Subcommittee chairman of the event, Prof. Maurice Iwu and Jerry Chukwueke expressed satisfaction so far at the level of attendance by the stakeholders while hoping that more will turn subsequently.

Others that attended the summit include, former governors: Ikedi Ohakim, Achike Udenwa, Senator Frank Ibezim representing Imo North, Chris Anyanwu former Senator who represented Imo East.
