Group under the aegis of Okigwe Political Forum Tuesday in Abuja, called on the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to release result of Imo North Senatorial Election held on 23rd February and 19th March to avoid the breakdown of law and order.

Addressing the press, the National Secretary of the group, Chief Regis Ifeanyi Uwakwe told INEC to declare Hon Patrick Ndubueze who according to him is the winner of the election.

Uwakweb alleged that the returning officer, Professor Donatus Ohajianya attempted to declare Sen. Benjamin Uwajumogu with fake result sheet before he was stopped by party agents.

He also said that Uwajumogu neither campaign nor consulted leaders of the senatorial zone about his intention to return to the Senate.

The PDP stalwart said that Ohajianya allegedly compromised and has since disappeared and has been declared wanted by INEC Owerri.

Uwakwe regretted that refusal to declare the Imo North senatorial election could cause a total break down of law and order in the area as the electorates are becoming impatient while calling on INEC to declare Ndubueze winner.
