The leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Isiala Mbano chapter, has congratulated the state governor elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha (Omenkeahuruanya) on his victory in the just concluded March 9 governorship election in the state.
In a congratulatory letter sent to the governor elect, signed by the Coordinator, Comr. Darlington Onyelike (Achiever), the youth body expressed optimism that the state will experience total transformation under the watch of Ihedioha who according to them has the capacity and dexterity to move the state forward.
The coordinator further said that the Council will give the incoming governor and his government all the needed support to achieve its vision for the state, stressing that he will continue to galvanize Imo youths to partner with the government for effective leadership and youth development.
Onyelike, Obollo-Ugiri in Isiala Mbano LGA born youth mobilizer and young democrat finally appealed to the governor elect to adequately carry the Imo youth along in his government as well as ensure viable subvention and empowerment packages for the entire Imolites especially the youths.
“We, the members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN)- Isiala Mbano chapter which is the apex youth body in the federal republic of Nigeria extend our warmest congratulatory message to your Excellency for a well-deserved victory in the just concluded general election as the governor elect, Imo state.
“Your Excellency sir, we have followed your career for years and were excited to read about your recent political victory. You have always impressed us with your clear vision and ability to get the job done against the most formidable opposition in the state.
“We hope and believe that you will continue to work for increased funding of the subvention of our Youth group action plans for Imo state in other to develop the talent of our Youths and get them empowered which was neglected by the previous administration. Youth Action Plan is intended to be a catalyst for further development and refinement of effective program delivery that enhances healthy development for youths in Imo.
“The Action Plan shall be monitored by the Social Welfare Department of the state for effective implementation with representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Talent Development, Imo State.
“Sir we anticipate working with you for the rebuilding of our dear state and we appeal that our request will be granted as you give us the opportunity to be part of your government/administration.
“In Conclusion, we are confident that your influence will continue to enhance and encourage our timid youths and bring back the lost glory of our dear state.” the letter reads.
