MASSOB alleges plan to rig election with Python Dance

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra has alleged that the military intends to ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari wins the February 16 presidential election by using the recently -launched Operation Python Dance 3 to rig the poll.

A statement issued in Owerri , the Imo State capital , on Sunday by a MASSOB leader , Uche Madu , alleged that the military operation would work with the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to manipulate the outcome of the presidential election to favour the ruling All Progressives Congress

Madu said, “ The primary aim of phase three of Operation Python Dance is to assist INEC and President Muhammadu Buhari -led APC federal security agencies to intimidate, frustrate and rig the presidential election in favour of the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari .

“ The presence of Nigerian military personnel scattered in all the rural and urban areas of Igbo land and their intimidating and subjective actions against the peace -loving people will never deter or discomfort our spirit , zeal and love for Biafra actualisation.

“MASSOB insists that no amount of cowardly acts of Nigerian government security agencies against our people in Biafra land will ever achieve their aim. ”

The statement also said MASSOB had no plans to attack the Abia State Government lodge in Aba and Umuobiakwa Nwa, the home of the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.

It insisted that MASSOB was a non-violent organisation and couldn ’ t indulge in any act of terrorism .
