Fast rising Disk Jockey and one of the official DJs of the Divas Stage Tour, DJ Alex has said that the male folks should be weary of the skills female DJs are mustering in Nigeria because they will soon take over.

DJ Alex who spoke just after the Lodan Experience of the Divas Stage Tour which took place at Lodan International Hotel Owerri, Imo State on Saturday, April 15, 2017, admitted that it will be a long time before the females will make a big statement in the Disk Jockeying business because there are few of them, adding that the influx of more females in the trade has really shown that the ladies are ready to take over.

“I was just out there wishing I could do this until I go one of first major opportunities at the Divas Stage Tour last year. I saw people who believed me and thanks to Mr. Chinedu Hardy Nwadike who encouraged me to do it and now I am a DJ playing anywhere I am called upon.

There is still a long way to go for me and other females but I wish we can have a lot of females in the business. Most of them feel it only a man’s business, but if we can have a lot of us here for the good reason, we can be real fear factor for the male folks”, she said.

“It’s about the night life, but it is still showbiz. I am learning everything and I am doing everything possible to utilize every opportunity I get along the line.

“It will be unfair not to bring to light the efforts of some male DJs who are always willing to mentor others, especially the young females who are coming into the game. Their teachings and encouragement has been superb.

These days I feel like I am never alone because I have two female DJ friends, Wizzy and Amazon. When you have friends doing what you are doing, it is more like a cartel of people who want to succeed and not just an isolated female wannabe like it used to be”
