Gospel singer, Blessing Abaleke popularly known as aBlessing, Dozie Trumpet, Voice of Victory Choir, Transformers Crew will be among the guest music ministers at the eleventh edition of the annual praise programme organized by youths of Methodist Church Nigeria in Orji Circuit of the Diocese of Owerri at St. Silas Methodist Church Orji, Uratta, Owerri North LGA, Imo State.

The event which is billed for August 12, 2016 will be featuring ministrations from choirs and individuals within and outside the church according to Promise Ezeala, member of the planning committee.

He said that lots of gifted and anointed ministers have been lined up for the event and that everyone is grateful to God for the kind of quality the event will be attracting this time.

“We are mostly grateful God for the grace to excel in this programme, this is the eleventh year and the eleventh edition as well. We are also grateful to all the ministers who have been working with us from day one and all the past leaders who kept the flag flying in the circuit.

The programme is a special one because we are taking the lead in the promotion and acceptance of African culture in terms of language and dressing in a world that is embracing more of western lifestyle. We believe the church is the number one point to make people understand that there is pride in originality and also make youths understand that God made us African for a reasons.

If there is a reason for being African, it then means that God would also want us to worship him like Africans and not like the westerners whom we are mostly copying as if God does not understand our language or accept our originality as Africans.

With the Presbyter of the Circuit, Very Rev. E. O. Chukwu ready to welcome the youths, parents and guests to the event, Promise Ezeala also hailed the efforts of the Presbyter and Circuit President, Bro. Essien Nse Bassey for his contributions and support towards the success of the programme.

The event will be featuring Rev. Nnamdi Ubani as guest preacher, while the likes of super gifted aBlessing, Dozie Trumpet, Voice of Victory Choir and Transformers Crew will be joined by other guest artistes and choirs on the music side of the event which has been given the theme ‘The King You’.

It will also feature the annual Ada and Okpara Africa contest, dramas and other varieties mostly aimed at the promoting African Culture.

The event will be taking place at St. Silas Methodist Church Orji, Uratta, Owerri North LGA, Imo State on August 12, 2016, from 8:00pm till dawn. Dress code is strictly decent African attires.
