The former igbo traditional gospel (ariaria) artiste, said that he only changed his kind of gospel music which used to be chain songs to the contemporary track system where every track flows with a different beat.
In his words “There was need for me to change the kind of music that I do becasue I wasn’t just flowing again with the traditional pattern. I had to start by doing one single which was successful and since then everything  has been moving fine.
I’m not saying there is anything wrong with the traditional Igbo music, because I still have songs in that category I would still love to release someday but till then, I am doing my thing new category”
His choice of name formerly made people speculate that he was leaving gospel for secular music, but the well built singer denied that instantly saying that there was nothing wrong with being in a studio where hip-hop artistes are working since every musician use the same producers and studio.
On his name, Mr Kyze, he said that the change of name was for good, so that he will not be misrepresented by the name on the jacket of his album.
“You have people like Samsong, Mark T and others with nick names, and are still doing gospel. There names show you that they are doing contemporary gospel, which is why I had to change as well.
Prince Chima Ewurum will always be my name but in this industry and on my CD jackets, the name I want to project is Mr Kyze” He added.
Mr Kyze is currently working a new album where it has featured top singers like Mark T, Bossman, Floxy and others.
The album which has already seen the single ‘We sing your praises’ released early this year, will be ready for the market very soon.
