Ace music producer, Kasablanka has voiced out his desire to change the face of hip-hop ahead of the release of his single, ‘Street Worship’.
The producer who remains the tallest entertainer in the Imo State spoke to, saying that the name ‘Street Worship’ was motivated by the ‘streets’ and it is a medium of change in the hip-hop genre of the Nigeria music industry.

In his words, “Each time I see a link to download a song, I end up getting the same thing because it’s all dance dance dance everywhere. It’s either we are to dance for money, babes or booze which goes all around to be the same concept.
It’s not that I hate the dancehall thing, I love it, but it is gradually making us a one genre nation where every Dick and Harry wants to be a dancehall artiste.
I sat down to think of this before coming up with the concept in ‘Street Worship’ and to make it what I want it to be, it had to get the best rappers around to be on the song.”
The song which is billed to drop on Saturday, August 10, 2013, is produced by Kasablanka who also sang in it as well as rappers LMG, X-Buster, Murda Crack, Reflex Soundz, Red Loaf and MIC, who were featured in it.
Kasablanka went on to brag that the song which has the presence of hardcore rappers like X-Buster and Murda Crack has no explicit content, an advantage that could give it airplay anytime anywhere.
“This is street worship, for the streets, clubs and churches, it could be played anywhere. We all had an agreement that there won’t be explicit contents in our lyrics, which is rare and had to achieve when you have the caliber of rappers on the song’ He added.
