Chief Ejiogu’s reaction was coming on the heels of insinuations in many quarters that the deputy governor, Prince Eze Madumere is the defacto Chief of Staff and that he (Ejiogu) is not being given free hand to function as one.
But speaking to journalists in Owerri last weekend at the wedding of the son of the state Chief Judge, Chief Ejiogu said “Do I look like a man anybody can take my job?
“It’s a big insult on my person. Anybody who knows Jude Ejiogu’s antecedent and what I can do, will tell you that it’s a mere speculation.
“It’s probably people who don’t like me and this administration.
“Nobody can take my job. I’m functioning as a full-fledged Chief of Staff. There can only be one chief of staff at a time in a state and for now Jude Ejiogu is that person. I’m performing and nobody is capable of taking my job away from me”, he concluded.
Sir Ejiogu used the opportunity to score the rescue Mission government very high in its achievements so far, saying the Rescue Mission is 100 percent in tact because its torch bearer, Owelle Rochas Okorocha is a visionary man who has a lot in stock for Igbo race.
