A suspected pick-pocket yesterday missed death by a hair’s breadth in Owerri, Imo State.

The prompt arrival of policemen stopped residents from lynching him after he was reportedly caught in the act along Wetheral/MCC Road junction.

It was gathered that Ikenna Orji dispossessed one Amaechi, a carpenter at Timber Market of the sum of N7,000 while both of them were riding in a tricycle.

An eyewitness disclosed that the twosome were the only passengers in the tricycle popularly known as Keke at the time of the incident.
