The city of Houston, Texas in United States of America is already agog with the news of the visit of Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha who is expected in the city on July 15, 2012.


The mayor of city of Houston, Texas, Annise D. Parker in a letter to the government, sent her greetings and expressed joy to partner with the state in celebration of her cultural heritage.
She said she welcomes all participants to the Imo  Day USA 2012 in Houston even as she explained that it is an honour that Imo State chose the city for her 2012 cultural exhibition.
The mayor noted that Nigeria and Houston share extensive businesses and cultural connections, even as she observed that nearly two dozen companies headquartered in Houston operated subsidiary locations throughout Nigeria.
Additionally, Parker stated, that Houston ranks as Nigeria’s largest US trade partner, adding, “We highly value our citizens of Nigerian ancestry and appreciate the community’s rich contributions to the social fabric of our city”, and Mayor Parkor wishes the governor, Imolites resident in City of Houston a successful Imo Day 2012 Cultural celebration.
The governor of Imo State, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha is to be honoured with an award in Houston, Texas during the cultural exhibition being organized by the Imo citizens in Houston in collaboration with a social promoter, Mr. Tochukwu Unegbu the Managing Director, Prince Noel Productions.
