Crayon Accuses Mavin Records of Changing His Life, Announces Split From Rema

Nigerian singer Crayon has accused Mavin Records of negatively changing his life, claiming he lost his former personality after joining the record label. He has also announced that he is no longer friends with fellow singer Rema.
Crayon made the allegations in a series of posts on X, where he expressed frustration over his experience with the label and people he accused of repeatedly hurting him.
Reflecting on his earlier days, the singer lamented what he described as the loss of his former playful and affectionate personality.
“What really happened to the old Crayon! Mavin killed him!!! They killed the loving and playful Crayon!” he wrote.
The singer said he joined Mavin Records as an innocent young man from Ojo, Lagos, with ambitions of becoming one of the biggest names in the music industry.
However, he alleged that his experience at the label changed him and forced him to compromise aspects of himself before achieving fame.
Crayon also announced that his friendship with Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, had ended, saying he had endured enough emotional hurt.
“Me and Rema are no longer friends! Una don too hurt me! Una dey hurt me to the last minute! I don leave am for God!!!!! I no go talk again!” he posted.
He further appealed to Rema to address his fans and discourage them from attacking him online.
The singer also hinted that he could disclose more about what he alleged Rema and another individual identified as Tega had done to him.
Neither Mavin Records nor Rema’s response to Crayon’s allegations was included in the statements provided.
