CDCFIB Opens Recruitment Portal October 28 for Oral Interview Candidates, Sets November 13 Deadline

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) will reopen its recruitment portal on October 28 for candidates who have reached the oral interview stage, with the exercise scheduled to close on November 13.

The board’s Secretary, Major-General Abdulmalik Jibrin (retd.), announced the dates after a board meeting in Abuja on Thursday. He said the decision was taken because candidates had been waiting for updates on their recruitment status.

“The board has considered and agreed, since candidates have been waiting, that by 28th of October, God willing, the portal will open for them to check their status. The portal will open from 28th October to 13th November,” Jibrin said.

He explained that eligible candidates would need to check their status through the portal and proceed with a mandatory drug test conducted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The requirement, he said, follows a Federal Government directive that prospective employees due to receive appointment letters must provide a certificate confirming they are clear of illegal drug use.

Jibrin said candidates who qualify at this stage would obtain a code through the recruitment portal and present it at the NDLEA office in their respective states to undergo the test.

The board secretary added that candidates who complete the required process would then converge in Abuja to collect their appointment letters. He did not provide further details in the supplied statement about the collection schedule or other arrangements.

Candidates who have reached the oral interview stage are advised to monitor the official CDCFIB recruitment portal during the announced period, check their individual status and follow the instructions provided for the drug test.
