Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are set to face each other in their long-awaited all-British heavyweight showdown on December 11, 2026, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

The highly anticipated bout, which has been more than a decade in the making, will be broadcast globally on Netflix, bringing together two of Britain’s most prominent heavyweight boxers.

According to BBC Sport, the main event could take place in the early hours of Saturday morning in the United Kingdom, with organisers reportedly considering a late start to accommodate viewers in the United States.

Joshua and Fury are scheduled to meet face-to-face at a press conference in London on Wednesday, September 30, as preparations begin for the blockbuster encounter.

Joshua, 36, reacted to the announcement on Instagram, writing, “I am inspiring a generation.” Fury, 38, has yet to publicly comment on the fight announcement.

The event is being promoted through a collaboration between Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and UFC chief Dana White.

Alalshikh described the contest as a meeting between two of the best heavyweights of their generation, expressing excitement about finally bringing the fight to boxing fans.

Both former two-time world champions had reportedly signed contracts for the bout earlier in the year, although the date and venue had remained unconfirmed.

Wembley Stadium in London and Madison Square Garden in New York were initially among the leading venues considered before Cardiff emerged as the location for the December showdown.
