The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the release of the final list of successful candidates for its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II).
The announcement was made on Monday in a statement signed by the Service’s National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, who urged applicants to visit the official NCS website or check selected national newspapers to verify their recruitment status and obtain details of the next phase of the exercise.
According to the Service, successful applicants will also receive notifications through their registered email addresses and SMS. Those who receive the notification are required to log into the recruitment portal using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to complete the next stage of the process.
Maiwada disclosed that the portal for uploading Medical Certificates of Fitness from government-recognised hospitals will become active on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Candidates have one week from the activation date to upload the required document.
In addition to submitting their medical certificates, successful candidates must update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.
The Customs spokesperson explained that candidates should also await the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which will be communicated within one week after completing the required online process. Information on documentation, physical screening dates, venues and other requirements will be released through official channels.
The Service warned that failure to comply with the stated requirements or complete any stage of the recruitment process within the specified timeline could lead to disqualification and the loss of the provisional offer of appointment.
Congratulating the successful applicants, the Comptroller-General of Customs, on behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, encouraged them to prepare for a career built on professionalism, integrity and national service.
The Nigeria Customs Service began the recruitment exercise in 2024 to fill 3,927 vacancies across the Superintendent, Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres. The online application process closed in January 2025, while shortlisted candidates later completed a final screening update through the recruitment portal in May 2026.
