Nigerian rapper Vector has stirred conversations online with a heartfelt tribute to the late musician Sound Sultan (Olanrewaju Fasasi, aka Naija Ninja), highlighting the singer’s quiet Muslim faith during Ramadan.

In a tweet on his official X handle on Monday, March 9, 2026, Vector shared an old chat with the late Sound Sultan, noting how his Muslim identity often went unnoticed outside of Ramadan. “He was one Muslim you never remember was Muslim until it’s Ramadan… he blended in peacefully with everyone he came across. The season of Ramadan brought him to memory… May all our prayers for good be met with answers for good,” Vector wrote.

The tribute has generated mixed reactions on social media, with some fans questioning the rapper’s comment about Sound Sultan’s religious visibility. Critics argued that the late singer remained a devoted Muslim throughout the year, not just during Ramadan.
